Intero Real Estate’s Steve Becerra, Represents Chinese Buyer on Sale of Hotels for $16 million

CUPERTINO, CA – Steven Becerra a commercial REALTOR® of Intero Real Estate, Inc. (“Intero”), ranked 13 th largest real estate brokerage in the US on the 2012 REAL Trends 500 list, recently represented the buyer of Rockaway Beach’s Best Western Plus Lighthouse Hotel located in Pacifica, CA. Bought by a Chinese investor for $16 million in cash, this marks the investor’s second multimillion-hotel purchase over the last two years.

Mr. Becerra also represented this client on their initial U.S. investment last year, of the Crowne Plaza in Burlingame purchase for approximately $30 million. There is also word that this same investor will be looking to purchase another hotel in the LA area sometime next year.

“We’ve been seeing a trend in affluent Chinese buyers purchasing throughout Silicon Valley for quite some time now. Usually they are purchasing for business, for an investment, or because they have children going to school locally and most pay in all cash, which in a multiple offer situation usually wins,” says Gino Blefari, President and CEO of Intero Real Estate Services. According to NAR’s reports, over the past year, foreigners made $68.2 billion worth of real estate purchases in the US, 18 percent of which were Chinese.

Becerra, of the Intero Real Estate Services Saratoga office, is no stranger to working with buyers from across the world. He’s been representing buyers from China for over 10 years. “From what we’ve experienced, Chinese buyers invest again and again within the same type of real estate, whether that’s commercial or residential, and they aren’t planning to sell anytime soon,” says Becerra. “They have the cash to spend and the desire to invest it.”

Chase International Carrying Ancient Rice for Holiday Giving

Fuller Sotheby’s Hosts Après Ski Event with Olympic Skier Julia Mancuso

Special guest, Julia Mancuso – the most decorated Olympic female American alpine skier of our time, teammate Resi Stiegler, and former U.S. Ski Team member Sarah Schleper were in attendance. The event, sponsored by Spyder, Carlsberg, and Audi Boulder included cocktails and hor d'oeuvres situated in the Beaver Creek Lodge just minutes from the slopes.

Despite a tough weekend for the Americans, Stacey Cook was the top-placing American finishing 19th in the Downhill race, with teammate Julia Mancuso, a three-time Olympic medalist, in 20th. With nearly a hundred people in attendance including members of the Canadian ski team, it was a positive atmosphere, as Mancuso and others took the time to sign autographs and mingle with Jenn Bruno, newest member of the Vail Town Council.

Mancuso who came to the world cup races ranking 2nd in the world Super G said, “We have an amazing group of coaches. That helps a lot with inspection and course report, being able to really nail it on the first run. That’s been my strength the last years. I’m just building off of that confidence and every year is getting a little faster, a little better.”

Kentwood Real Estate Surpasses $2 Billion in Closed Real Estate Sales Volume for 2013

DENVER – Kentwood Real Estate, Colorado’s Premier Real Estate Company, has announced record sales for 2013 with a total of more than $2 billion in closed sales volume for the year posted on Monday, December 2nd representing 3,778 real estate transactions with an average sales price of $532,416. This impressive accomplishment represents an historic record for the 33-year-old company which is recognized among the top producing real estate companies in the nation.

Kentwood Real Estate’s total sales volume this year was more than $300 million more than the company posted for 2012. The outstanding performance is even more impressive when considering that the top three real estate companies for sales volume in metro Denver for 2012, as reported by the Denver Business Journal, operated with between 180 and 820 sales associates, while Kentwood Real Estate is staffed by just 185 broker associates.

Kentwood’s brokers averaged approximately 20 real estate transactions each for 2013 with a month remaining before year’s end, which is three times the national average. Zephyr Real Estate Features Local Mosaic Artists in Annual San Francisco Calendar

SAN FRANCISCO, CAFor 23 years, Zephyr Real Estate has produced a custom San Francisco-themed calendar for its clients, colleagues, family and associates. The 2014 Calendar continues the tradition and its theme, San Francisco Mosaics, features the works of local artists and their unique public mosaics found all across the City.

Each month displays a professional, full-color photo of the art as well as its location, artist’s name and contact information, if available. A Zephyr sold property near each mosaic location is included in a small frame alongside the artwork.

In the spirit of its longstanding commitment to supporting the arts community and to express gratitude to the participating artists, Zephyr is making a donation to the San Francisco Arts Commission for each calendar distributed. Zephyr typically distributes between 8,000 and 9,000 calendars annually. Past titles have included Savor San Francisco (food and drinks invented here), San Francisco After Dark (historic pubs and speakeasies), Great Writers of San Francisco, and Saints and Scoundrels.

She went to great lengths to connect with artists who wanted to accompany her to photograph their work, coordinate around school schedules for mosaics that are located on public school campuses, and work with docents to tour facilities that have harder to find mosaics.
